The chairs look great and were straight forward to assemble. The hardware, some extra hardware and a sufficient allan wrench came with the chairs. There is some adjustment in the through holes so you can loosen bolts to level the legs. Seat cushions are firm enough for comfortable seating while dining and much better than a wood seat. The underside has the standard black upholstery fabric. The manufacturer sorted the wood enough to put the lower grade wood as the back of the bottom chair support, so once assembled, the imperfections are hidden. Some of the we got chairs have minor black marks on the exterior edge of the finish from rubbing on against something since they were finished. I have yet tried to see what gets it off aside from a damp cloth.
The chairs use a finger jointed solid rubber wood construction for the back legs which extend up to support the back. With the natural ‘oak’ finish the finger jointed assembly shows and resulted in a couple of the chairs with a darker wood directing joined to a lighter wood. With the front legs I was able to sort them to keep the wood contrast to a minimum and have uniform appearing legs on the same chair.
Time will tell on the longevity and durability of the chairs, but I hope they last longer than the 5 year warranty available through Wayfair.
